This week I would like to dedicate this page
to both Grandma & Grandpa Reed.
Where do the years go - it seems like only yesterday!
It was almost every week-end that we were over to their house.
As a child I can remember so many good times. The go carts rides,
the pony's and riding them, chocolate milk in pop bottles out of the old Coke Cola machine, rolling down the big hill, & sledding down it in the winter, us all getting snow bound there on grandma & grandpa's birthday one year (they both shared the same birth day) - we asked grandpa, where were we all going to sleep. He told us, he was going to hang us on hooks and we believe him, sleigh rides; and if I close my eyes I can still hear those sleigh bells as the horse trotted along in the snow, party's we use to have downstairs in the basement around the fire place, dinners around the big table in the dinning room; the table was set with the good china and silverware - I remember one holiday after dinner the guys decided to help the women out and do the dishes... Grandma realize later they had chipped some of her good china and she wasn't to happy about that.
Easter egg hunts, spending a week there during the summer and
going to Bible School, grandma wanting me to brush her hair,
grandpa having Sally (pony) do her tricks and having her always ending with a bow, pony cart rides, going mushroom hunting,
grandpa's train track that he invented to do so many neat things,
and who could ever forget the big swing with cables as ropes that ended somewhere up in tree ever so high in the sky. I could go on and on but I better stop, the tears have been flowing down my cheeks as I've been writing this.
These two special people have given me so many memories
but the greatest thing I remember the most about them,
that they Loved each other very much.
I am so honored to have them as my grandparents.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE TO ALL!

If you would like any of the pictures in the PHOTO FLIP BOOK
I would be more than happy to email them to you!
Today is Monday - November 5, 2007
Our visit today with Grandma did not consist of me taking a lot of pictures.
Instead, I wanted to hear all about how her and grandpa met.
She said, I will never forget the first day we met.
He had moved from Inwood, Indiana
We were both in the 8th. grade at Reese School on State Road 23. When I saw him for the first time it was LOVE at first sight for me! We only remain close friends that year in school, but his sister Vera and I were close friend so I spent as much time as I could over there so I could see him and be around him.
Our 8th. grade year ended and we both quit school and got jobs.
I'll never forget the day I found out Kenny's family was moving to Florida. My heart was broken and I cried for days...
My life had changed, and I knew that somehow I had to go on.
I dated a few other guys, and all I could do was think of Kenny, oh I missed him so. I couldn't understand why he had to move.
I can't remember for sure how long it was...
One day Vonna, my sister and I was out mushroom hunting
in the woods. When all of a sudden we heard something. We looked watching in waiting to see what it was. And then it appeared!
A Big White Horse and there sat Kenny on top of him.
I took a few steps back and rubbed my eyes, I couldn't believe it!
I said to myself in a whisper, my Knight in Shinning Armor is here!
We were together from that moment on...
I can't remember how long we dated before we got married.
We got married on Monday May 25, 1925 in the Mangus home, that's where the minister had a room there.
Kenny's folks were there and my mom, dad was working.
Over the years we had a great life!
Some of our greatest years was when Kenny retired and we started going to Florida, we had 20 good years there before he got sick.
I don't know about you, but that was one of the Greatest Love Stories I've ever heard!
Grandma said, she had another good week. I have felt good and I'm glad to have my own walker back. I've been practicing getting up and down, I need to build up my muscles. I've been eating really good and I'm enjoying it.
It was fun this week to see all of kids passing through for Halloween,
I passed out hundreds of candy bars... that was fun!

I'm so glad that our grandson Jayden can go with us each week to see Grandma,
It really means a lot to me since my mom is not with us passing away in September 1984.
Grandma Reed was there for our children when my mom couldn't be, and now she's there for Jayden. I know my mom would have loved Jayden and all the great grandchildren too.
Grandma's roommate Sara even looks forward to our visits.
I printed off the web page of her and took it so she could see it.
I read it all to her and what you had wrote in her guest book, she really enjoyed it!
We ended our visit with Kisses and Hugs... I told her, I loved her very much and she said I believe it!
