Grandma talked about her friends she has met in her life time.
"In my 99 years of life I could not even begin to tell you how many
friends I have... I know it's thousands and thousands!
I remember as a child some of my first real close friends, they were twins, sisters Ruth & Helen Burton. As children we had so much fun, they would spend time at my house and I at theirs.
I have to give my parents the credit for bestowing the value of friendship in my life. They always were really good examples about that, as they had many friend themselves. They always left us all have friend over, with us having 13 kids in our family there were many nights when we had friends over our table was really full at supper time. But Mom & Dad never complained.
As I got older Kenny's sister Vema and I really became close.
I've had so many good friends over the years and many of them have already passed away, many of them a lot younger than me. Someday we will all see each other again... That will be great!
The secret of having good friends - You Have To Love Them!
Everywhere, I have lived I have made friends.
I'm good natured and I love helping people,
if people is sad you have to cheer them up.
I remember a lady that lived next door to me and she
was depressed and had no friends and didn't get out and do things. I never gave up on her, I just kept loving her and showing her kindness. Today she is a changed lady!
Sometimes friendship is not easy. Sometime friends say things that hurt us, sometimes they are just having a bad day.
I have lived my life that you have to forgive and forget and
don't let things lay in you heart wounded.
I think that's why I'm living so long!
Sometime friends tell us things we don't like to hear, but they are
saying it because they love us and we just might need to change our ways. With out friends, your just out!
I LOVE all my friends, my life would NOT be the same
with out even one of them.
God Bless each and everyone of them, I Love them ALL."
Wow! That's a lesson we can all learn from...
